QUALITY RATINGS

Data about the quality of care being delivered by specific hospitals and physicians is now available on the Internet.  This transparency of performance data serves both consumers and healthcare organizations by giving consumers information they need to make informed decisions and organizations information they need to continue to improve their quality of care.

To assist our patients and their families, we are providing links to the various reporting tools currently available.  We are currently working on the ability to publish our data in a more timely manner than can be provided by the organizations represented here.  Our goal is to have this information available in the near future.

HHS Hospital Compare

This tool provides you with information on how well the hospitals in your area care for all their adult patients with certain medical conditions. This information will help you compare the quality of care hospitals provide. Hospital Compare was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and organizations that represent hospitals, doctors, employers, accrediting organizations, other Federal agencies and the public.

Joint Commission (JCAHO)    Quality Check

The Quality Report provides detailed information about an organization’s performance and how it compares to similar organizations; the organization’s accreditation decision and the effective dates of the accreditation award; programs accredited by The Joint Commission, and programs or services accredited by other accrediting bodies; compliance with The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals; special quality awards; and, for hospitals, performance on National Quality Improvement Goals.
