Intensive Day Treatment for Addictions

 

The Northeast Health System DISCOVER Program provides an alternative to, or a step down from, inpatient addiction care.  DISCOVER provides crisis stabilization and support toward community integration.

 

DISCOVER is based on a recovery model, which assists participants in regaining an optimal level of functioning in their community, family and vocational roles.

 

Daily services are provided Monday through Friday for individuals with addictions or dual diagnosis and for their families.  Treatment is provided with dignity and respect, taking individual and cultural differences into consideration.  Our staff works in partnership with participants to define and develop a plan of care that is individualized and geared toward success.   All of our services are strictly confidential.  We respect and protect your privacy.

 

TYPES OF TREATMENT

• Structured full and half-day treatment
• Outpatient detoxification
• Aftercare including group, individual and couples counseling

 

POPULATIONS SERVED

• Adolescents ages 16 and older on a case-by-case basis
• Adult men and women with an addictive illness or with dual diagnosis

The DISCOVER Program will help addicted individuals to:

• Develop skills and gather information that will enable them to establish a strong foundation to being the recovery process
• Gain an understanding of addictive illness and a thorough awareness of the recovery process
• Understand the dynamics of a healthy relationship
• Attend 12 step/self-help meetings
• Discover ways to enjoy the opportunities of a clean and sober lifestyle
• Develop a realistic and sound plan for aftercare to continue a healthy recovery

 

DISCOVER will also help family members distinguish between showing positive support and the high risks of enabling.

• Medicaid
• Medicare
• Self-Pay
• Most private insurances (Prior authorization may be required.)

 

 

INSURANCE COVERAGE

Most major health insurance companies cover these services.  The DISCOVER staff will help insure eligibility for reimbursement.
